School mission

The mission of CCHS, in partnership with the home, is to provide a college preparatory education, immersed in a biblical worldview, that prepares our students to impact the world for Christ.

Ministerial function

Every Employee at Calvary Christian High School, whether a teacher, administrator, or staff member, is charged with playing a formative role in the spiritual lives of every student, their parents, and other CCHS Employees. Such responsibility includes praying with others, leading a class or in devotions, actively engaging in Biblical Integration through training and day-to-day implementation, sharing the Gospel with students and parents, and providing spiritual guidance. The duties of this position at CCHS shall not only include non-religious, secular responsibilities, but shall include religious responsibilities with a heart for the soul of every student, parent and co-worker. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Classroom Management

Maintain a safe and productive learning environment by managing student behavior and following the regular teacher's guidelines.

Instruction

  • Support and oversee plans and activities as set forth by the regular teacher.
  • Attendance and
  • Reporting: Take attendance, report any issues or concerns to the school administration or relevant staff, and leave detailed notes for the regular teacher about the day's activities and any notable incidents.

Adaptability

Be flexible and adaptable to different grade levels, subjects, and school environments.

Collaboration

Communicate effectively with school staff, including teachers, administrators, and support personnel, to ensure a smooth transition in the teacher's absence.

Professionalism

  • Uphold professional standards, follow school policies, and maintain confidentiality regarding students, instructional materials, and school matters.
  • Emergency
  • Procedures: Be familiar with the school's emergency procedures and protocols to ensure the safety of students in case of any unforeseen circumstances. Demonstrate a willing spirit and cooperative attitude to fulfill any other responsibilities assigned by the school administration for the effective and efficient operation of the school.

  • SPIRITUAL RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS Have a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ and seek to model Him in speech, actions, and attitude.
  • Set an example of the importance of prayer, reading the Bible, and faithful local church attendance.
  • Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, administration, and staff.
  • Show support for the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their child's education and assist them in the task.
  • Encourage students to accept God's gift of salvation and to grow in their faith.
  • Emphasize to students the reality of their self-worth in Christ.

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support School Administration in carrying out the mission of the school. Maintain confidentiality in all school-related matters. Follow all ethics guidelines and training set forth by the Employee Handbook.
