Make a lasting impact this summer. Join a mission-driven team supporting adolescents in a structured, trauma-informed residential setting. Stevens Treatment Programs is currently hiring seasonal fill-in (relief) and part-time Residential Counselors for the summer months to work directly with youth in our Residential Education Program and Intensive Treatment Residence (ITR)—highly structured programs for adolescents with complex behavioral and emotional needs, many of whom have experienced trauma or other adverse life events.

What You’ll Do

Residential Counselors are hands-on caregivers, mentors, and role models.

They

  • Build meaningful, therapeutic relationships with youth
  • Support youth through their daily routines, including hygiene, meals, recreation, and bedtime
  • Help teach life skills, emotional regulation, and healthy peer interactions
  • Respond to crisis situations with professionalism, compassion, and teamwork
  • Participate in recreational activities, summer programming, and off-campus trips

Experience working with adolescents or in residential settings is required for the seasonal position. We provide additional training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must pass a background check (per EEC guidelines)
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Willingness to obtain Safety-Care (provided by Stevens)
  • Pay & Schedule
  • $19.50–$21.50/hour based on experience, education, and schedule
  • Additional $1.00/hour for demonstrated bilingual fluency in Spanish
  • Holiday pay available for eligible shifts
  • Part-time (32 hour) - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm; Wednesday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • This temporary position is not eligible for most benefits.
