Adjunct Faculty, Basic Nursing Assistant Training (BNAT) Instructor

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a current and valid Registered Professional Nursing Illinois license.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse (RN).
• Must have experience as a
• RN in at least one of the following areas: 1. teaching theory in an accredited nurse training program; or 2. providing direct nursing care in a clinical setting , including personal care and activities of daily living, to older adults or chronically ill adults.
• IDPH approved Illinois Evaluator Certification and ability to complete a Department-sponsored Approved Evaluator Workshop refresher course every five years
• Approved training for instruction in Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia equivalent to 4 CEUs
• Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of BNA Instructor Train-the-Trainer course.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS healthcare provider CPR certification.
• Experience teaching a nursing lab/clinical
