  • This position is responsible for: Provides pre-school services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs; plans, develops, and teaches pre-school classes; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of child care property.

  • Responsibilities: Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. Develops and implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.

  • Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and ensure their safety. Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs). Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Work is performed in a normal pre-school environment where there is little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
