About this role Responsible for facilitating the graduation processes and ensuring accurate completion of degree conferrals. Reviews academic records and processes related to graduation to advance the College’s completion initiatives and remove barriers to credential attainment. This position requires the ability to work a fluctuating schedule, including nights and weekends. What a day of a Graduation Specialist looks like: Performs conferral-related processes, including diploma mailing, processing of replacement diploma requests and conferral assessments. Processes student degree conferrals, ensuring timely and accurate awarding of credentials through the student information system. Reviews, evaluates, and processes student academic records including transfer credit, course substitutions, prior learning, articulation agreements, industry certifications, reverse transfers, and CSA course petitions to support credential completion. Collaborates with departments across the College to resolve graduation issues, ensure degree audit accuracy, and support student progression toward completion. Identifies and resolves barriers that could delay the timely completion of program requirements. Analyzes and troubleshoots degree audits and student records to identify and resolve issues, support reallocation of coursework per policy, and recommend process improvements that support credential completion. Interprets and enforces institutional policies and procedures related to degree program requirements. Contributes to audits, report generation, and data analysis for internal and external reporting purposes. Maintains data integrity and ensures compliance with FERPA, institutional policies, and State and Federal regulations. Distributes information to personnel in programs, explains procedures, and clarifies new policies and procedures. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
