  • Description: The purpose of this position is to provide instruction for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Essential
  • FUNCTIONS: Provides teaching and guidance to students taking ACLS and/or PALS courses. Ensures classroom and supplies are prepared for class. Follows teaching criteria outlined by the American Heart Association (AHA). Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • REQUIRED: Certified ACLS and or PALS provider. Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or the ability to obtain with in 3 months of hire. Ability to teach at a minimum of 1 class per month. Ability to attend an annual, mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off session. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
