The primary scope of this position is to plan and implement high-quality early education and child development services and proved ongoing assessment and guidance to Early Head Start (EHS) children (birth to three (3) years). This position is responsible for the implementation of the Head Start Performance Standards and all other regulatory requirements for their assigned classroom.

Must be able to walk, sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.
Able to see, hear and speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety.
The work environment is that which is typical of a classroom setting. The noise level in the environment is usually very loud and noisy.
Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and have access to a vehicle which is insured as required by the Texas Financial Responsibility Law.
Requires an Infant & Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent coursework in early childhood development. Preferred candidates hold an associate degree in early childhood education and have six months of experience with infants and toddlers.
