Benjamin Franklin Charter School is looking to hire a Health Assistant. If you have previous healthcare experience and enjoy working with children in a school setting, this position may be the job for you! Responsibilities Provides basic first aid to campus students and staff Administers daily prescription and over-the-counter medications to students in accordance with school policy under the supervision of the school administrator and maintains accurate records of medication given Administers rescue medications, including inhalers, Epi-pens, etc. as prescribed by medical professionals (with appropriate training) Performs medical procedures such as diabetic care, seizure care, and other medical duties as prescribed by medical professionals (with appropriate training) Notifies principal and Lead Nurse in any and all emergencies Adheres to all policies, regulations and rules Performs related duties as requested Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed Professional Competencies Be responsible, reliable, and punctual. Promote positive interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. Be flexible and adaptable to change. Positively accept direction and performance feedback.
