About the role

Provide school-based mental health services to a diverse neurodivergent student population ranging from elementary through high school ages, including students with autism spectrum disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. This role focuses on facilitating therapeutic groups, supporting emotional regulation, strengthening social development, and promoting overall student well-being while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families.

What you'll do

• Lead structured and process-based group therapy sessions
• Develop and implement group curricula targeting emotional regulation, social skills, and academic stress management
• Provide individual therapy services as needed
• Document student progress, treatment notes, and clinical updates
• Collaborate with educational teams, administrators, and families
• Support crisis intervention and behavioral stabilization when necessary
• Maintain compliance with school and clinical documentation requirements

What we're looking for

Must have

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, or related field
• Active California LMFT, LPCC, LCSW license or associate registration (AMFT, ASW, APCC) with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or Cleared PPS credential through CTC
• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
• Experience facilitating group therapy with adolescents
• Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills

Preferred

• Experience working with neurodivergent populations, specifically autism spectrum disorders
• Familiarity with CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapeutic modalities
• School-based or educational setting experience
• Experience supporting adolescents with co-occurring mental health diagnoses

Physical requirements

• Occasional exposure to dust, pollen, and fumes
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, handling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations
