Job Description

Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assessor Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA (in-person) Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time | 2026–2027 School Year

About the Role

Ascend is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Assessor to join our team for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will focus on conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for school-aged students, supporting eligibility determinations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive appropriate services. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students in school settings Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessment tools Write clear, compliant evaluation reports and present findings at IEP meetings Collaborate with school teams, including psychologists, teachers, and administrators Provide recommendations for services, goals, and accommodations based on assessment results Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines Support re-evaluations, initial assessments, and triennial reviews

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active California SLP license (or eligibility) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience conducting school-based assessments preferred Strong report writing, analytical, and communication skills
