About the Role

At HANDS, our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT’s) are professionals who have completed a minimum of a 40-hour intensive training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as passed the BACB exam to become an RBT. All RBT’s are continually supervised by an agency BCBA on a weekly basis and engage in behavior analytic professional development activities. RBT’s are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the BCBA. The RBT will also collect data and may conduct certain types of assessments (e.g., stimulus preference assessments) under the supervision of a BCBA.

What you'll do Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions to clients in their home Run skill acquisition programs with clients based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis Complete daily program writing and data collection before the end of each shift Work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts to implement individualized treatment plans Collect and accurately record data on clients’ progress Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions

Minimum Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred A minimum of one (1) years experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with special needs Must be caring, energetic, and detail-oriented Driver’s License and reliable transportation Physical Requirements: Ability to lift/carry up to a maximum of 50 lbs and remain standing for up to 4 hours Must be able to remain within close proximity to children at all times for safety Ability to get up and down from the floor independently Other Requirements: Successful completion of criminal history background check and drug testing Active RBT Certification Excellent communication skills Ability to work with a variety of individuals in different settings
