In this role, your top priority will be ensuring the safety and well-being of children during after-school hours. You will supervise students, assist with homework, and lead engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development. The ideal candidate is nurturing, organized, and passionate about working with children in a fun and structured environment.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times Assist students with homework and academic support Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities (games, arts & crafts, group play) Maintain a structured daily schedule for students Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment Communicate effectively with parents and staff Help with snack time and classroom organization/clean-up Manage behavior using positive guidance techniques
Previous experience working with children (after-school programs, daycare, camps, or similar). Level 4 in GAPDS or CDA Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude Ability to manage a group of children in a structured setting CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, and active play
