About the role

The adjunct professor is responsible for teaching certified courses, developing engaging lesson plans, and improving syllabi. They must evaluate student performance and foster an inclusive classroom environment for students of diverse backgrounds.

Albright College’s Education Department is seeking applications for part-time faculty.

The College is looking for the candidate to have a Master’s or Ph.

D./Ed.

D. in Education or a related field.

The candidate must also have at least five years’ experience in the Public/Private school system.

The adjunct professor's responsibilities, when called upon, include teaching in areas where they are certified due to large numbers of students or in classes where specialty certifications are needed, reviewing and improving syllabi, understanding students’ needs, developing engaging lesson plans, and ensuring the relevant learning resources are available.

You should also be able to evaluate student performance and address any issues promptly.

To be successful as an adjunct professor, you should prepare assessments that enrich and challenge students. Outstanding adjunct professors are able to teach and foster relationships with students from different cultural and economic backgrounds. At all times the adjunct professor must create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable participating and learning.
