Job description
This position is a 0.5 FTE located at HB Woodlawn for SY27.
Qualifications
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
- Social Studies endorsement.
- Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Experience
- Experience working with high school students.
- Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents.
- Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology.
- Ability and experience with a diverse population of students.
- Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and effectively deliver the social studies curriculum.
- Incorporate differentiated instruction into classroom delivery.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology applications to deliver instruction.
- Work in collaborative teacher teams to plan and use data to inform instruction.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Participate in required school and countywide professional development.
Salary
• Salary will be based on the FY2026-27 salary schedule.
