As a Gymnastics & Ninja Zone Instructor, you'll create a safe, energetic class environment that builds confidence and skills in every child you teach. QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 15 years of age; High School Diploma or current enrollment required 1–2 years of experience as a gymnast or instructor preferred WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead engaging gymnastics and ninja skills classes with a focus on safety, fun, and skill-building Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that builds children's self-esteem Bring the YMCA's whole-person mission — healthy mind, body, and spirit — into every session Adapt thoughtfully to the changing needs of participants and classroom dynamics Apply discipline guidelines in line with our Code of Conduct Policy Contribute ideas and help develop new class strategies and programming Build strong, professional relationships with parents and fellow staff Keep accurate attendance records and maintain a clean, organized gym space Honor your scheduled shifts; coordinate substitutes and notify the Gymnastics Director when unavailable Complete all required trainings from the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA and Gymnastics Director Support Scholarship Fund Raising efforts as needed Identify and promptly report safety concerns to the Gymnastics Director and Risk Management Perform other duties as required by business necessity QualificationsSKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Ability to demonstrate foundational gymnastics and ninja skills Dependable with consistent, punctual attendance Creative communicator — strong verbal and written skills Skilled at supervising students with enthusiasm, control, and a safety-first mindset Employees 18 and older must pass a criminal background check PHYSICAL DEMANDS This role involves active participation in a variety of indoor settings. You may be required to carry, lift, run, climb, kneel, crouch, push, pull, stand, walk, and sit. Noise levels will vary with activity.
