Position Summary
Applicants are invited to apply for the position of Instructor MAT Generalist in the Eriksson College of Education for the Department of Teaching and Learning. This position is to begin July 31, 2026. The position will remain open until filled.
The Eriksson College of Education at Austin Peay State University provides educator training in an environment that provides opportunities for students and faculty to work and learn together. Class sizes provide opportunities for students and faculty to establish relationships that will last throughout a student’s academic and professional career. There is a possibility of summer employment.
The College of Education offers the B.A., M.A.T., M.A.Ed, and Ed.D. degrees, as well as post-baccalaureate certificates.
- Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues while supporting the mission of the College and University;
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, as assigned by Department Chair and/or Dean;
- Advise and manage a caseload of approximately 300 M.A.T and K-12 teacher licensing certificate students (TLC);
- Seek opportunities to serve at the department, college, and university levels; and
- Other duties as assigned.

- Required Minimum Qualifications
- An earned doctoral degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Ed Leadership, or related area;
- Candidates with at least 3 yrs. of university and/or K-12 teaching experience are preferred;
- Experience in advising either undergraduate or graduate students is preferred;
- A background search will be required of the successful applicant.
