- Summary: The paraprofessional provides instructional support in a K-12th grade classroom of students with and without disabilities. The paraprofessional also leads the classroom in the event of a teacher absence.

- Responsibilities: Implements lessons plan including instructional groups per teacher’s direction. Assists in planning and developing/setting up instructional materials for classroom. Assist in administering assessments/progress monitoring. Works with the teacher in documenting academic progress through authentic observations and data collection. Utilize and ensure consistent implementation of behavior techniques and classroom management techniques and data collection. Perform teacher duties in his/her absence. Keep up on best and promising practices for education (i.e., attending professional development, participating in book studies, etc.) Provide caretaking/housekeeping duties as needed (i.e., changing of students, keeping classroom clean) Maintain positive staff and parent interactions and communication. Attend required trainings, meetings and events. Ensure administration is informed of all parent and individual student concerns and complaints. Ensure compliance with procedures, requirements and guidelines set forth by UCP, HIPAA, NAEYC, Department of Education, 4C, Department of Children and Families, and other State and Federal agencies. Perform other duties as assigned. - Minimum
- Experience: Experience working in a K-12th grade classroom. Prefer experience working with children with and without special needs in a multi-disciplinary education setting. Experience working with instructional technology preferred.
