Bilingual Elementary Teacher (Spanish) – MULTIPLE POSITIONS LOCATION(S): Global Village Academy - Aurora JOB LOCATION: 403 South Airport Boulevard, Unit A, Aurora, CO 80017 Multiple Positions Available
The following duties will be performed in the English and Spanish languages: 1) Teach appropriate grade level standards-based curriculum in Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Personal Development. 2) Assign and grade class work and homework. 3) Utilize knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices including small group instruction to teach assigned courses. 4) Prepare materials for classrooms for class activities. 5) Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. 6) Observe students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health. 7) Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate. 8) Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress. 9) Administer, score, interpret and apply required screening instruments including Observation Survey. 10) Complete, maintain, and submit accurate records, forms and reports punctually, as required. 11) Supervise the work of the classroom paraprofessional, including daily planning and evaluation of students' needs and progress. 12) Work with a diverse student population and staff. 13) Follow school approved curricula. 14) Demonstrate familiarity and adherence to the School's Mission and Goals. 15) Attend and participate in required pre-service and staff development meetings. 16) Conduct required parent-teacher meetings. 17) Use computers, audio-visual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
Bachelor's in Education, Language, closely related field, or foreign equivalent degree EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Two years' experience as a classroom teacher (K-12) SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish SALARY: $60,237.00/ year
