Position Summary
The College of Education – Dean's Office invites applications for a dynamic administrative assistant to join our team. This key position will help the Dean's office and Field Experience staff. Our office strives to serve our students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the daily operations of the Dean's office and the Field Experience Office. Collaborate with student workers and staff. Assist with appointments, schedules, and visitors. Answer phones and emails. Assist with data input to the Field Experience office and the Dean's office. Assist in the administrative duties involving graduation, Dean's certificates, mailings, and correspondence. Maintaining student records and filing, including turning down files to Records. Assist in managing social media. Assist with coordinating and leading various outreach efforts such as special events, graduation events, open houses, and college Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an office environment preferred. Must be able to interact effectively with visitors, students, staff, and faculty Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced changing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation required GENERAL DESCRIPTION – % OF TIME 40% – Assist in the daily operations of the Dean's office 40% – Assist in the daily operations of the Field Experience Office 20% – Other department duties as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods Occasional lifting of materials (up to 50 lbs)
