Who you are
You are a compassionate and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist who provides Speech-Language mentorship services to students with autism, developmental delays, and other learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality treatment, documentation, and compliance in a school-based environment.
- What you’ll do
- Screening - Complete screening requests to determine students' need for evaluation
- Evaluation - Conduct standardized assessments of students to determine eligibility due to speech and language deficits, such as articulation, language, and pragmatic needs
- Treatment - Write evidence based speech and language therapy plans for students who have speech related needs, incorporating various treatment strategies and accommodations
- Documentation - Complete documentation in accordance with deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Communication - Maintain communication with student’s families and/or caregivers regarding progress and needs
- Collaboration - Work with multidisciplinary team members to determine the most appropriate treatment plan based on client needs and improve service delivery
- Other responsibilities as assigned
What you’ll need
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology or Communication Disorders
- One year of progressive experience as an Speech-Language Pathologist
- Pennsylvania Instructional 1 Teaching Certificate OR PA Educational Specialist Certification
- PA State Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with individuals with developmental delays (Preferred)
- Experience working in a school setting (Preferred)
- Clearances & Training Required
- Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance
- Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education
- Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate
- Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children
- State License of Practice and/or Certification
- CPR/First Aid
- TB/Physical
