  • Range: $2,813.00 - $2,813.00 SalaryJob Description Iona University’s graduate Occupational Therapy program seeks an Adjunct Professor to teach an occupation-based orthopedic course, and occupational therapy adult rehabilitation courses and related lab experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintains a learning environment that is engaging, inclusive, and conducive to active learning and professional development. Provides evidence-based, clinically relevant learning experiences Facilitates hands-on skill development in areas such as splint fabrication, physical agent modalities, and musculoskeletal evaluation techniques. Designs and implements learning activities and assessments aligned with ACOTE standards, ensuring students achieve course and program learning outcomes. Uses student performance data and assessment outcomes to continuously improve teaching effectiveness, course design, and curriculum quality. Maintains current clinical expertise Participates in programmatic assessment and ACOTE accreditation activities. QualificationsRequired Experience A Masters degree or doctoral degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional accrediting body recognized by the US Department of Education (USDE) New York State Licensed Occupational Therapist or eligible for NYS OT License Academic teaching experience preferred Strong Clinical Experience in rehabilitation settings Collegiality and openness for collaborating with other faculty members connecting course to other program course work, as well as for addressing ACOTE accreditation standards Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
