Education/Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Special Education Valid AZ Department of Education Cross Categorial/Mild-Moderate Certification Valid IVP card, CPR and First Aid Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs; must be able to bend, stretch, reach, twist, walk, run and stand for an extended period of time Attend and maintain Safety Care certification (training provided by Beyond Autism) Valid and unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation Punctual, optimistic, and solutions-based thinker Creative, excellent interpersonal skills and able to remain positive during challenging situations
Responsibilities
Ability to assess needs, develop and implement the IEP, and evaluate outcomes Conduct academic and related assessments Maintain an organized and safe environment for students and team members Collect and analyze data with team members and BCBA Support the implementation of behavior strategies under the direction of the BCBA Implement a schedule incorporating ABA strategies into all aspects of curriculum including academics, life skills, and social skills Communicate with parents in a positive and empathetic manner Teach individual, small and large groups Maintain all required documentation and student records Provide crisis intervention when necessary Provide support to fellow team members in a respectful and positive manner Conduct weekly team meetings Collaborate with consulting professionals Attend all Beyond Autism trainings Adhere to the policies and procedures set forth in our handbook Support the mission and vision of Beyond Autism DETAILS:
