- Enrichment Teacher - Summer Learning Program - Woodman West/Shady Grove The YMCA of Greater Richmond is seeking enthusiastic, passionate education professionals (certified teachers) to serve as Enrichment Teachers in our community-based K-5 Summer Learning program. Hours are 8:30 AM-12:00 PM Monday-Thursday for six weeks this Summer. Starting pay is $30/hr. Our Summer Learning program focuses on literacy and student engagement. DUTIES of an Enrichment Teacher Enrichment Teachers will work closely with peers and Regional Director of Community Outreach to implement academic enrichment programs for elementary school students. Specific duties include development of relevant lessons utilizing established curriculum; ensuring academic and social development of scholars; monitoring scholars' progress and making adjustments; working to create a safe and productive learning environment; and supervising scholars in in-person day to day activities as well as special functions, such as field trips. QUALIFICATIONS of an Enrichment Teacher Candidates must have at least three years of related experience. A teaching certification is required. Must be a high school graduate and at least 18 years of age. Excellent verbal, written, organizational and technological skills. Strong relationship building, mentoring, communication and leadership skills.
