- 7:30am-4:00pm M-F
- (schedule may shift to 8:30am–5:00pm on certain days based on coverage needs)

Position Summary
We are seeking a Floating Substitute Teacher to provide support across our programs, including Toddler, Primary, and Elementary levels, as well as Aftercare when coverage is needed. This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a range of age groups and is looking to gain meaningful experience in a Montessori setting.
This position serves as a pathway to a permanent Classroom Assistant or Support Staff role when openings arise, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a long-term career in Montessori education.

Duties & Responsibilities
Assist Head Teachers/Assistants by providing classroom support, maintaining a calm, respectful, and engaging environment.
Step into classrooms to cover absences or provide additional support as needed Follow the lead of the classroom teacher and assist in maintaining Montessori routines and expectations Provide gentle guidance and redirection to children in alignment with Montessori principles Supervise indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and rest time In Aftercare, support children with snack, indoor activities/outdoor play, and end-of-day routines Prepare and maintain classroom materials as requested Foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all students Model respect and care toward students and staff at all times
Requirements
/ Desirables 12 ECE units required Minimum 2 years teaching or childcare experience preferred Montessori experience preferred Negative TB assessment/test within 4 years (required prior to start) Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal Bilingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply - fluent in English (required) and Spanish (preferred)
