Job description
- Westport Montessori in Kansas City is a licensed childcare center seeking Substitute/Floater Teachers to work with all age groups, Infants-PreK!
- Our substitutes will pick up shifts based on our staffing needs and your availability.
- To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a minimum of a High School diploma or GED and be able to pass all background checks!
- Childcare experience highly preferred!
- Required Shift: Flexible hours based on availability/center needs.
- Monday-Friday Compensation: $16-$17/hr.
- Pay is based on education and experience.
- Main Job Responsibilities: Responsible for the safety and well-being of students and staff at all times.
- Develops positive relationships with children and families.
- Participates in professional development activities designated by the Director, which may include workshops, curriculum meetings, planning, committee service.
- Maintains a neat, clean, well-organized environment.
- Ensures that the classroom and associated areas (including playground) meet all licensing, safety, and health requirements.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
