Position Overview As a School RN at TheraCare, you will provide direct nursing care to students during the school day in a variety of educational settings. • Responsibilities: Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders. Oversee the school health office including triage, injury response, and wellness checks. Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergency situations. Communicate with parents, school staff, and agency supervisors regarding student care. Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines. Ensure adherence to all public health protocols and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based roles.
• CPR/BLS certification (required).
• Familiarity with patient electronic database systems and documentation standards.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills. Physical Requirements: Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer). Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis.
