Position Overview Carolina Therapeutics Academy is seeking a reliable, energetic, and compassionate Summer Teacher Assistant/Floater to support students and classroom staff during our summer program. This role is ideal for individuals interested in education, psychology, child development, special education, ABA therapy, or related fields. The Teacher Assistant/Floater will assist throughout the school day by supporting classroom routines, supervising students, helping with activities, and providing coverage across classrooms as needed.
Responsibilities: Assist teachers and clinical staff with daily classroom activities
Support students during instructional lessons, play, transitions, meals, and outdoor activities
Provide classroom coverage and float between classrooms as needed
Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
Assist with behavior support strategies under staff guidance
Prepare materials and help with classroom organization/cleaning
Supervise students to ensure safety and engagement throughout the day
Communicate professionally with staff and supervisors
Qualifications: High school diploma required
Experience working with children preferred
Interest in education, psychology, ABA, or special needs populations is a plus
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Ability to stay active and engaged throughout the school day
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance required
