Counselor position full-time at Monroe Residential Treatment Facility Schedule

  • Mix of morning (7
  • AM-2:30 pm) and evening shifts (1:30 pm-10pm), and one weekend shift

FT hours, benefit eligible

Duties/Responsibilities

Contribute to the overall well-being of clients by serving as a positive role model—demonstrating appropriate dress, grooming, communication, and professional behavior in a warm and supportive manner. Provide consistent, day-to-day guidance and encouragement in alignment with therapeutic goals to support the implementation of each client's treatment plan. Facilitate and actively engage clients in therapeutic groups focused on coping skills, relapse prevention, DBT, education, and life skills development. Communicate relevant observations and client progress with the treatment team to support coordinated, client-centered care. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client information and program-related matters. Participate in mealtimes with clients to model healthy dietary behaviors and support a positive eating environment. Ensure the treatment environment remains welcoming, clean, and organized at all times. Attend all required trainings, educational sessions, and staff development activities. Perform other duties as assigned in support of program goals and client care. Bachelor's degree, preferably in psychology, social work, education, or a related field. One year experience with behavioral health, experience with eating disorder setting or group home preferred. Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver's license with a clear driving record for three (3) years.
