Santa Sophia Preschool is seeking a qualified, experienced and passionate preschool aide who is deeply committed to developing Christ-centered, forward-thinking leaders to serve our future Church and our world. The Preschool Aide assists teachers with classroom preparation, supervision of students, and daily classroom support to ensure a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled learning environment.
Preschool Aide Responsibilities Prepare materials and supplies for daily classroom activities and set up equipment inside the classroom and on the playground.
Assist with weekly naptime setup, including preparing mats and organizing bedding bags.
Support general housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean classroom environment (disinfecting high-touch areas, cleaning sinks/counters/tabletops, sweeping, etc.).
Supervise students during lunch, snack, recess, playground time, and transitions (including lining up and walking to playground areas).
Assist students who have difficulty resting during naptime.
Recognize student needs and provide appropriate support and solutions.
Follow classroom procedures and rules set by lead teachers and/or the director.
Supervise bathrooms as needed, including assisting children who have bathroom accidents.
Comply with California state and county licensing regulations.
Attend required professional development trainings, school functions, and staff meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher and/or director to ensure a smooth and effective preschool program.
