  • Schedule: Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends based on participant needs Challenge Enterprises of North Florida is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and community-focused Employment Specialist to support individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment and greater independence within the community. This position works directly with individuals receiving services through Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and the Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD). The Employment Specialist provides job coaching, employment support, advocacy, and community-based services that help participants obtain, maintain, and advance in competitive integrated employment. Position Overview The Employment Specialist will manage a caseload of participants while building strong relationships with employers, community partners, families, and referral agencies. This role involves hands-on support throughout the employment process, including resume assistance, interview preparation, job development, on-the-job coaching, and ongoing employment support. What You’ll Do Participant Support & Job Coaching Assist participants with resumes, job applications, and interview preparation Provide job coaching and ongoing employment support Support participants during hiring, onboarding, and workplace training Teach pre-employment skills, advocacy, and workplace readiness Help individuals identify career goals and employment opportunities Employer & Community Engagement Build relationships with local employers and community partners Advocate for participants and promote inclusive employment opportunities Maintain communication with employers, families, guardians, and referral agencies Address workplace concerns and support successful employment outcomes Documentation & Compliance Complete case documentation, billing, and reports accurately and on time Utilize approved electronic systems for documentation and billing Ensure compliance with Vocational Rehabilitation and APD requirements Participate in screening, referral, and staffing meetings Team & Agency Support Attend mandatory trainings and staff meetings Provide backup support to other Employment Specialists as needed Promote the mission and values of Challenge Enterprises Maintain professionalism and positive representation within the community What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, adaptable, and passionate about helping individuals with disabilities succeed in the workplace and community.   • QualificationsCandidates must meet one of the following: Four years of related experience in vocational rehabilitation, job coaching, counseling, or working with individuals with disabilities; OR Bachelor’s Degree in rehabilitation, counseling, social work, psychology, education, human resources, business administration, economics, or related field with one year of related experience; OR Master’s Degree in a related field with six months of related experience; OR Associate degree or unrelated Bachelor’s/Master’s
