Job description

This position is a 1.0 FTE located at Jefferson Middle School for SY27.

Responsibilities

  • Flexible, dependable, and organized.
  • Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Must be knowledgeable of the academic, social, and emotional developmental needs of young adolescents.

Experience

  • Experience teaching mathematics on the middle school level.
  • Understanding of the middle school child.

Qualifications

  • Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
  • Mathematics endorsement.
  • Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.

Salary

• Salary based on the 2026-27 T-Scale salary schedule.
