The music teacher will work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and community members. They must be flexible, dependable, and organized to meet timelines.
Candidates must have experience teaching middle and/or high school students and possess knowledge of best practices in Strings Instruction. Virginia licensure in Instrumental music is required, with a preference for dual endorsements.
This position is a .6 FTE located at Swanson Middle School.

Must be team oriented and able to work cohesively with others and meet timelines. Must be organized with excellent written and oral communication skills. EXPERIENCE: Experience teaching middle and/or high school students. Successful teaching experience and curricular knowledge. Experience implementing best practices in Strings Instruction.
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Must be endorsed in Instrumental music. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
