About the role

The successful candidate will teach German across the Secondary School, including Middle School and IGCSE, and oversee the preparation and administration of DSD I and DSD II examinations. They will also contribute to the German Native Programme and support students in maintaining their linguistic and cultural identity.

German languages teacher

We invite applications from experienced and passionate teachers to join our World Languages Team, teaching German across the Secondary School. This role includes teaching German acquisition courses in Middle School, IGCSE, and IB German B (SL and HL), as well as contributing to the German Native Programme in Middle and High School. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation and administration of the DSD I and DSD II examinations and support students in maintaining their linguistic and cultural identity.

The German programme at BIS Houston aims to develop confident, multilingual learners who are culturally aware and academically ambitious. Teachers play a central role in delivering an engaging, rigorous curriculum that inspires a love of languages and fosters global citizenship.
