Job Title: Middle School Instructional Aide Department: St. Labre Indian Catholic School Reports To: Principal FLSA Status: Nonexempt – 9 month position Salary Grade: 5D ($14.30-$16.81-$19.33)/hour Approved Date: 07/01/2025 SUMMARY Assists teaching staff with various instructional tasks and supervises students on bus routes and various activities by performing the following duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. *Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. 1. Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts. 2. Takes part in all training set up by teacher, principal, or school system. 3. Learns what materials are on hand and uses them as prescribed—cares for materials and equipment. 4. Maintains classroom supervision and discipline in the absence of the teacher. 5. Complies with regular program in taking part in certain rotating duties. 6. Works with testing and monitoring students when requested. 7. Prepares and submits required reports. 8. Acts as substitute teacher as assigned by principal. 9. Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts. 10. Maintains supervision on bus routes and disciplines students when applicable. This includes writing bus referrals and delivering referrals to appropriate principal(s). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
