The College Preparatory School High School Girls Volleyball Coaches Needed for 2026-2027 Fall Season The College Preparatory School, a private high school in North Oakland, seeks Girls JV Assistant Coach and F/S Head Coach for the fall 2026-27 season.

We seek dynamic candidates to help build on an established and successful program.

Coaching candidates focused on coaching volleyball and teaching lifelong values of sportsmanship, integrity, commitment, personal responsibility, teamwork, and self-discipline.

The 2026-2027 season runs from August 10th to October 17th of 2026.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing volleyball instruction and coaching that supports the development of players' skills, techniques, game understanding, and overall growth as student-athletes.

Organize and execute practice and season-long coaching plans Work effectively with student-athletes of varying abilities and cultural backgrounds to instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork Ability to motivate student-athletes to participate and sustain their interests in the program.

Be a positive role model for students, coaching staff, and the College Prep community Working cooperatively and professionally with all school staff Attend all athletic department meetings Presenting a positive image to the student-athletes and the campus community by maintaining appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics Responsible for the supervision of all students affiliated with the team.

Report injuries to the Athletic Trainer, Athletic Director, and Associate Athletic Director promptly.

Qualifications

Knowledgeable of the fundamentals and advanced techniques of volleyball. Ideally, the candidate has a strong background in the fundamentals of volleyball. Be able to teach, be a positive role model, and provide direction to players of all skill levels, from the beginning player to the advanced player. Candidates should have coaching experience across high school, club, collegiate, and other competitive volleyball programs who can effectively develop student-athletes of varying skill levels. Positive and professional attitude. Flexible afternoon and evening schedules Valid California driver's license CPR and first-aid training preferred (or willingness to gain proficiency) Founded in 1960, The College Preparatory School is an independent, coeducational secondary school created for intellectual risk-takers who want to pursue a purposeful education with kindred peers.
