  • Description: The Mobile Intervention for Young Adults (MIYA) Program delivers comprehensive mobile services and supports to youth during their transition out of the social service system into a community. The MIYA Program engages youth and young adults in decision-making and problem-solving processes for all aspects of their life. The program works closely with the individual’s family and natural supports to assist them with meeting their individual goals for recovery. The goal is to support transition age youth and young adults to live as independently as possible in their community while maximizing stability and long-term recovery. This program serves Allegheny County HealthChoices/Medical Assistance eligible youth and young adults ages 18 to 25 years, with a primary serious emotional/behavioral disorder (SE/BD) or serious mental illness (SMI) who fall into at least one of the following categories: Currently living in an adult Community Residential Rehabilitation Program (CRR) or Long Term Structured Residential Program (LTSR) or Are being discharged from a psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF) or Are aging out of Children, Youth and Family Services or Are transitioning out of the Juvenile Justice system The MIYA Program takes a clinical and skill development approach to assist youth and young adults to develop critical adaptive skills needed to negotiate, establish, and adapt to independent living in the community. MIYA helps individuals capitalize on opportunities to self-determine what they need to lead a meaningful life in the community, including choosing where to live, learn, work, and socialize.

  • Overview: Therapist Promote the philosophy and mission of Auberle in the provision of all responsibilities Complete initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths and needs and use clinical discretion for treatment direction Provide individual and group therapy to clients. The frequency of individual therapy for each individual served will be a minimum of one face to face contact per week. Use evidence-based treatment practices and clinical assessment tools appropriate for the individual’s presenting mental health or substance use issues. The use of evidence-based practices and assessment tools designed specifically for transition age youth and young adults is encouraged. Develop crisis, relapse prevention and treatment plans with the youth.

  • Requirements: This position is primarily located in Great Pittsburgh area. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled. The travel required for this position is frequent.
