Education

Experience/Training
- Experience with children with I/DD in a classroom setting preferred.
- Must demonstrate age appropriate good judgment and good safety practices in the classroom or other site.

Assist the teacher in implementing educational and recreational programs in the agency's Childhood Center.
Job Description
- Assist in providing supplemental instruction to reinforce educational goals and objectives in the following developmental areas; gross motor, fine motor, communication, sensory, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, self-help and feeding.
- Prepare designated learning areas and projects for children prior to their arrival as requested by the teacher.
- Assist children with physical needs; feeding, personal grooming and toileting.
- Ensure a safe, healthy environment for the children by following all safety regulations and potential hazards.
