Support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through recreational, social, and educational activities to enhance community connection. Develop and lead small interest-based groups in areas such as art, education, and recreation.
As a CDS DSP at DSC, you will support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through recreational activities, social events, educational groups, volunteering, and other areas of interest to enhance personal fulfillment and make greater connections with their community. Additionally, you will develop and lead small groups based on the interests of program participants in the areas of recreation, education, and art as well as facilitate the development of hobbies and interests.
High School diploma or equivalent. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Fundamental computer skills, including general web browsing and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Sufficient physical stamina and mobility for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling. Valid driver’s license and ability to drive DSC van. CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and HHA (Home Health Aides) are encouraged to apply. HOURS: 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (includes a working lunch); No evenings, weekends or holidays!
