The teacher is responsible for delivering a Catholic-based curriculum and fostering the spiritual and academic growth of preschool students. Duties include classroom organization, student supervision, and maintaining open communication with parents and administration.
Description Essential Job Functions Support the Teacher in the execution of developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences with a variety of materials in the areas of religion, art, music, literacy, science, mathematics. Assist in supervising activities which promote the health, emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child consistent with Diocesan goals and objectives. Provide and maintain a neat, safe, organized classroom; assists in taking responsibility for upkeep of all educational equipment and material. Help children establish good habits of toileting and personal hygiene.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be a practicing Catholic with a knowledge of Catholic prayers, holidays, and teachings. Ability to organize and coordinate work with teacher. Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff. Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth. Professionalism expected in attire, communication, and demeanor
Hours Monday - Friday - 8 AM to 12: 30 PM
Profile Will be required to complete the Safe Environment requirements of the Rockford Diocese Virtus Online program. Will be required to complete CPR/First Aid training.
