Job description
- House Parent - Teen Girls Neighborhood Foster Home At 4KIDS, we are passionate about providing hope, homes, and healing to children in crisis through Christ-centered ministry. We are currently seeking compassionate, mission-driven House Parent(s) to serve in our neighborhood foster home for teen girls. This is a full time paid live in position. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference by creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing home environment for youth in foster care while living out your faith through service, mentorship, and care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent supervision and support for residents in the home
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming living environment
- Prepare daily meals and support the household routines
- Teach and model healthy life and independent living skills
- Support residents with school, appointments, activities, and personal needs
- Transport residents to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding behaviors, progress, and incidents
- Collaborate with case managers, Child Advocates, families, and community partners
- Make decisions regarding clients' needs
- Respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises using trauma-informed care practices
- Build trusting relationships while modeling compassion and accountability
- Support the spiritual growth and emotional well-being of residents through encouragement, prayer, and Christ-like example when appropriate
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and lifestyle consistent with biblical values
- Actively support the Christian mission, vision, and core values of 4KIDS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with youth, foster care, childcare, residential care, or related fields preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage behaviors and remain calm in crisis situations
- Passion for serving vulnerable children and families through ministry-minded care
- Compassion for children and families from hard places
- Ability to live onsite in the neighborhood foster home
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
