- Louis.Job Summary The Early Childhood Learning Center Aide supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, faith-centered, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
- The aide assists with daily classroom activities, supervision, care routines, and implementation of the school’s Catholic mission and values.Job Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with classroom instruction and learning activities Support children’s social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and academic development Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, nap/rest time, and transitions Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment Prepare classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional supplies Assist with behavior guidance using positive and age-appropriate methods Model Christian values, kindness, respect, and Catholic teachings in daily interactions Support prayer time, religious activities, and participation in school liturgies or faith-based events Help children with personal care needs as appropriate, including toileting, handwashing, and snack/lunch routines Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and parents as directed Follow all diocesan, school, health, and safety policies and procedures Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in early childhood education preferred Experience working with young children preferred Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to supervise and engage children in a caring and positive manner Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education Completion of required background checks and safe environment training The Archdiocese of St.
