- Job Summary The K–8 School Aide supports teachers and school staff in creating a safe, orderly, faith-centered, and productive learning environment for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
- The aide assists with supervision, classroom support, student engagement, and daily school operations while promoting the mission and values of Catholic education.Job Responsibilities Assist teachers with classroom preparation, instructional activities, and student support Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, playground, arrival/dismissal, and other school settings Provide individual or small-group assistance to students as directed by the teacher Help maintain a positive, respectful, and structured learning environment Reinforce classroom rules, expectations, and appropriate student behavior Assist with organizing instructional materials, copying, grading, and clerical tasks Support students with assignments, projects, and classroom routines Monitor student safety and report concerns to teachers or administration Model Christian values, respect, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions Participate in school prayer, liturgies, religious activities, and Catholic traditions as appropriate Maintain confidentiality regarding students, families, and school matters Follow all diocesan, school, safety, and child protection policies and procedures Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with school-age children preferred Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work cooperatively with teachers, staff, students, and parents Ability to supervise students effectively and maintain appropriate boundaries Commitment to supporting the mission and philosophy of Catholic education Completion of required background checks and safe environment training The Archdiocese of St.
