About the role

The Initial Service Coordinator is responsible for assigning service providers to clients and ensuring services align with IEP or IFSP requirements. They also manage incoming evaluations, facilitate communication between stakeholders, and collaborate with the billing department.

Responsibilities

  • Assign service providers to clients and students receiving therapy or educational services from Metro Therapy.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure services are performed as required in the IEP or IFSP depending on the age of the child and the program they are enrolled in.
  • Track new and incoming evaluations and requests for services.
  • Communicate with parents, teachers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders as needed to facilitate collaboration and continuity of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the billing department to resolve issues with notes, claims, or invoices.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records for all students and clients.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in education, healthcare, or a related field is required. Must have 1 or more years of experience working in childcare, education, or healthcare administration.
