The Occupational Therapist assesses and treats students with sensory processing and fine motor delays within a state-of-the-art autism center. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, implementing ABA strategies, and collaborating with teachers and parents to meet IEP goals.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree or higher and be a certified OTR in the state of Arizona with a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card. Preference is given to those with at least two years of school-based experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Develops treatment plans, interventions, and/or educational materials for the purpose of meeting individualized student objectives and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide OT services to students with IEPs. The number of students varies depending on workload and possible COTA support. Possible supervision of COTAs with the implementation of OT services in the classroom, depending on caseload numbers Write and attend MET and IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator. Evaluate students in the area of speech and language as determined by the MET team. Implement communication goals identified on student IEPs Consults with teachers, parents, other personnel, and/or outside professionals for the purpose of providing requested information, developing plans for services, and/or making recommendations and/or referrals. Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions Deliver services in a classroom integration model Coach classroom staff and SLPAs on the implementation of speech/communication goals Support for staff and students with Augmentative Communication Devices Support classroom curriculum as it relates to language acquisition Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families Responsible for paperwork compliance Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals Participate in annual and ongoing staff training Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential requirement of your position. Complete Medicaid billing Additional duties as assigned.
May be required to coach, monitor, and mentor a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant working with students with disabilities.

● Experience delivering services in a school setting in a classroom integration model is preferred ● Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance ● Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills ● Minimum of two years OT experience in a school setting preferred ● Experience and training in Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) preferred ● Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
