Job Description
Rochester Community and Technical College is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach reading courses. The English and Reading Department is looking for a part-time faculty member available to teach developmental college courses in reading.
Salary Range
Salary is determined in accordance with the MSCF Collective Bargaining Agreement and is based on the candidate’s education and related experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree with a major in Reading or Literacy, or Master’s degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in reading. A Master’s degree in Education with 18 graduate credits in reading or literacy and/or reading specialist certification would also be accepted. Preferred Qualification Previous teaching experience in developmental reading for college students is highly desired. Reading specialist certification Professional experience with adult literacy TESOL certification or ELL experience Experience teaching at a two-year college level Other Requirements Resume/CV Cover Letter Three (3) professional references (They will only be contacted if you are being considered).
