About the role

Support the Lead Teacher in guiding children toward independence and confidence within a Montessori environment. Responsibilities include preparing the classroom, providing individual and small-group lessons, and fostering a collaborative community.

We are now hiring for Summer Assistant Teachers for the 2026 Summertime at our lovely Guidepost school at Mill Valley!

Our summer camps run from June to August.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles.

Pay is $20-24/hr Your Role: In this Summer Camp role, you will support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities.

This is a great opportunity to start your career in Montessori, and early childhood education more generally, as many of our Assistant Guides ultimately grow to take on Lead Guide roles over time, thanks to our MACTE-accredited Montessori training program.

We’re looking for a Summer Teacher who will bring their best in order to support every child in reaching their highest potential!

Guidepost Summer Assistant Guides: Observe children closely to understand and best meet their needs Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child’s development Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect We would love to talk to you if you: Are familiar with the development of young children Have strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service oriented mindset Are willing to grow and learn Have a valid negative TB test (in the last 12 months) or are willing to take prior to your state date.

Have a valid CPR certification or are willing to become certified prior to start date.
