About the role

The position involves teaching and providing content expertise for programs in Counselor Education. Appointments are typically for teaching a single course based on curriculum needs.

The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Human Services to teach and provide content expertise for programs in Counselor Education during the 2025-2026 academic year and 2026 summer.

Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis according to curriculum needs and appointments are typically for teaching a single course.

If no position is currently available, we will retain submitted applications on file for future consideration through the 2025-2026 academic year and 2026 summer.

A terminal degree in an appropriate field of study for the course to be taught is required.

Applicants must have a strong commitment to teaching excellence.

Previous K-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
