Job description

  • Provides educational instruction for healthcare applications and assists with identifying the training needs of the identified users of systems and EMR applications.
  • Provides administrative support, through the maintenance of the training database defined to support clinical systems record needs.
  • Assists with the development of training curriculum and training materials for medical groups.
  • Trains physicians and staff in the use of the EMR application and other systems.
  • Evaluates and documents work flows to ensure the most efficient and effective use of the system.
  • Education and Training
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required. Clinical designation (CMA, LPN, RN) preferred.
  • Experience
  • Two to three years of individual or group training and clinical experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
  • Skill in interpersonal communication to effectively interact with users on various software and non technical problems.
  • Skill in written communication to compose materials for end users.
  • Knowledge and skill in work processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, e-mail, and scheduling applications, and the ability to acquire additional skills if necessary.
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee, patient, and financial records.
  • Ability to present course materials in classroom and one-on-one environments using adult learning techniques to effectively convey information in an appropriate manner to users with a variety of skill levels from novice to power users.
  • Ability to work well within team environment by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; by supporting team goals and encouraging other team members; and by collaborating with departmental team members to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods, and/or reduce costs.

Schedule

8am - 5pm, on-call and travel to local office sites.
