Job description

Position Summary

The NYU Student Health Center (SHC) is seeking a full-time Staff Gynecologist to provide high quality outpatient GYN care to a diverse University community of more than 50,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Work in a collaborative atmosphere with our team of physicians, NPs, RNs, and Medical Assistants to assure timely and comprehensive screening, contraception, and evaluation and treatment of common GYN concerns as well as complex GYN issues including abnormal uterine bleeding, vulvar lesions, and endometriosis. Colposcopy, LARC, and other procedures performed on site; no obstetrics. Other on-site services at the SHC include Primary and Urgent Care, a dedicated pharmacy, registered dieticians, dermatology and endocrinology, behavioral health specialists, and gender-affirming care.

Qualifications

Required Education:Medical Doctor (M.D.) M.D. or D.O. degree, NY State medical license, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ob-GYN, or Family Medicine with added qualifications. BLS certification. Required Experience:2+ years of clinical experience as a Physician. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration, eligibility to obtain medical liability insurance. Approval for clinical privileges by the Credentials Committee. Preferred Experience:Experience working in a multispecialty practice and/or Student Health Center setting Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:GYN procedures including LARC, colposcopy, others. Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and used shared-decision making and patient centered care models. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of trauma informed care and gender-affirming care a plus.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $216,000.00 to USD $256,000.00. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
