- Location: Magnolia Science Academy - 1 Reseda ROLE SUMMARY The Hockey Coach is responsible to attend and coach the team for all regular season and playoff games subject to suspension rules outlined in the League Official Rules and Procedures Document. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead Financial Strategy and Long-Term Sustainability Head coach is responsible to attend, plan, and run two weekly practices each week commencing the week of August 24,2026 through the end of the League regular season and playoffs. Head coach is responsible for transportation to and from games and practices. Head coaches will be given written notice from the League regarding any bi or optional practice weeks. If a head coach’s team qualifies for the League playoffs, the head coach is responsible to plan, attend, and run two weekly practices for the duration of the team’s playoff run. Head coach must notify the League in advance is he/she is unable to attend a team practice or game. Head Coach is subject to all guidelines outlined in the League’s Official Rules and Procedures Document and subject to suspension or termination per the League’s Official Rules and Procedures Document. Head Coach is responsible for ensuring players adhere to all player guidelines outlined in the League’s Official Rules and Procedures Document including but not limited to player eligibility and game play rules. Head Coaches are required to represent the League in a professional manner at all times. Head coaches engaging in any act determined to be detrimental to the League or Company are subject to termination. Head coach will make a player’s safety paramount during all on-ice activities. Job Knowledge Previous coaching experience (Pewee aged players and above is preferred) In-depth knowledge of the sport of hockey Previous club or collegiate playing experience is preferred Job Qualifications All coaches must be a minimum of USA Hockey Level 1 Certified. USA Hockey Certification must be current and valid for the entire League season (August 17th , 2026 – March 20th , 2027) All coaches must complete USA Hockey Certification, CAHA Screening, SafeSport Training. Must maintain insurance through USA Hockey Membership Qualifications
